DNEST DiaB solution for low altitude aerial data collection in Nansha district

In order to increase the efficiency of public affairs, the government of Nansha district (Guangzhou city) and the local power supply bureau have set up a “Low altitude aerial data collecting center” by combining the autonomous drone dock, remote video streaming, and other low altitudes remote inspection technology with the intelligent AI recognition and AR live-action visualization, which will be widely applied to multiple fields, such as the public service, society management, power grid construction, etc. 

How does it work?

Seven drone docks are deployed separately and form a network in the Nansha district, any department that needs to capture the aerial videos or images can call the center, which would send the order to the operators who can remotely control the drone flying to the destination and gather the data. All of these complicated procedures take only less than 30 minutes, the efficiency can be elevated to a new level. When an emergency happens, the smart drone dock network would use the least time to locate the missing person or detect the fire source (with a thermal camera), which will minimize the risk and damage. 

After the mission is complete, the drone will return to the drone dock and initiate the self-charging process under the remote control of an operator, all the operations are quite simple, only a few clicks required. 

Currently, over 21 scenes are listed in the “Low altitude aerial data collecting center”, including security patrol, fire inspection, large equipment inspection, city plan, and survey, etc. 

HEISHA DStation autonomous drone docks are applied similarly in Qingdao and Belgium for smart cities.
